Hi beautiful sister,
Do you remember the moment you were saved?
I sure do. To His glory, I share part of my story.
Sister, I WAS A MESS! Total misfit. The black sheep of the family. The outcast. The rejected one. The SUPER lost one.
A broken young woman.
I still remember being at the Lifeway Christian store and my spiritual mother was about to buy me my first bible.
We got down on our knees. God bless her heart, she’s now with Jesus.
She held my hand and asked me if I wanted to accept Jesus into my life.
All I knew was I was in so much pain and I wanted help and I’d tried nearly everything else.
I thought what do I have to loose?
I said yes. Nothing crazy happened. That was it.
But it was the PEACE OF GOD THAT CAPTIVATED ME.
You see I had been tormented my whole life.
Then after receiving an invitation to home church, I finally accepted it. Years later.
Then I felt this PEACE that I never knew before… I thought WHAT IS THIS?!!!!!
But it was as soon as I left that it seemed all hell was waiting for me.
So I was desperate for Sunday church.
Then the peace came back when I read the bible.
So I spent HOURS soaking in the word daily. Then it got to the point where I’d read the bible for like 8 hours a day and anytime I could.
But when I stopped reading… the Supernatural peace left.
It wasn’t until I met my husband that he taught me how to have peace always.
It came through fighting the spiritual battle and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and only thinking on Him and His promises and goodness. CASTING DOWN THOUGHTS NOT OF GOD.
Doing the basics, praying, anointing, fasting, using scripture to silence and win the battle. Refusing to sin in my heart or with my words.
Fighting the good fight and never settling for anything less than His peace. Super imperfect but never quitting.
So years later, here I am and I tell you that God is real.
And if you have never said His prayer you don’t need anything fancy, just a repentant heart
You can say this prayer: Jesus come into my heart, I make You my Lord and savior, help me, I turn from my old ways. I am Yours, save me.
